Great for the price
Used this. For steak on barbecue. Works fast. It seems very accurate. A must for steak.

Did not work out of the package
Reads -58.0F when turned on and stays that way. Measured a roast right out of the oven at -23.0F. Clearly a faulty unit. Waiting for Escali customer service to respond.Updated my review from one star to 5 satars: Escali replaced my faulty unit with no hassles. Excellent customer service and the thermometer works great. Fast and accurate, easy to clean.

Me proof!
I am hard on things and kept showing out the Taylor thermometers because they were water resistant and not water proof.This one stands the test of me!

No issues with this thermometer. Owned one previously years ago and was taken by my son when he moved. Needed another. Very reliable and arcuate.

Not waterproof as advertised
This product is not waterproof/dishwasher safe as advertised. I put it through the dishwasher twice and both times it screwed up the thermometer. The second time to a point of no return. The plastic washer/o-ring does not keep water out of the battery compartment. A bubble also appears in the screen area. Save yourself $20/trouble.

Great thermometer
We’ve had a number or cheaper thermometers get “old” fast and ruin some nice cuts of meat by not registering temp correctly so I finally just got a nicer, more expensive, easy to read one from a name cooks know well. Escali makes great digital scales and so far I’m very happy with this product too.It feels more substantial than the $10 grocery store ones I owner prior and the cover is nicer too.

Love this thermometer
We have bought expensive thermometers before that do not work as well as this one. We bought two -on for up at the cabin and one for home. Great purchase -wonderful product!

This is one of the worse terminator I ever purchase, by just cleaning the terminator it pulled apart no good...I would not recommend.
