Eastern Blocks: Concrete Landscapes of the Former Eastern Bloc

To be clear, the is NOT a negative review about the author nor the content which is 10/10 and everything I was hoping for and more. The book itself is 5/5, but the issue is the size.This is not Dostoyevsky, but a visual book where the subjects are as important if not more so than the narrative. I don't know why the trend is towards smaller books (I have a hunch), but it takes away from what is otherwise an amazing read with excellent and perfectly captured sculptures.I bought two of these at once, and the other book has the same issue

Una gran recopilación de edificios y el entorno urbano de lugares seleccionados del viejo bloque socialista. La fotografía es excelente y presenta una breve descripción para entender el contexto, muy bueno para visualizar y entender la relevancia de los mismos.

I love this book as I’m interested in Eastern European countries, culture and politics. Highly recommend it.

La calidad de la edición y de las fotografías son una maravilla, como otros de la misma editorial, Zupagráfika que tenemos en casa. Leerlo, releerlo, visualizarlo... me deja una impresión extraña.. la nieve, la decadencia y lo desconocido siempre me suscita perplejidad.. Pienso, que conocemos tanto Nueva York , por ejemplo, por la cultura audiovisual y menos la eterna Siberia.. que es como viajar a algo desconocido.. Me encanta esta editorial.Espero que haya sido útil mi valoración

Die Fotografien in diesem Buch sind wirklich klasse. Es ist von der Größe her, für meinen Geschmack, jedoch etwas zu klein. Die Fotos würden in einem größeren Format noch imposanter wirken. Einzelne Details würden dann auch besser zur Geltung kommen. Und ein Wohnblock mit hunderten Fenstern bietet genug davon. Es ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.
