This crazy pup loves it, and i've been feeding it to my other dogs for 13 years, no issues, consistent quality, would highly recommend. There are libraries worth of info about what food to feed dogs, yes in a perfect world I would make my dogs food from scratch each week with all the perfect ingredients but life is lifing and this gets the job done with good quality no filler food. Do the research, know what goes into your dogs food, then stick with it. The more you change dogs food up the more diet issues your puppers can have down the line (or so Google tells me). Hope this helps someone pick out food, but between this and Fromms i've read its basically the same where this is lower in fat than Fromms

I have been feeding this brand of food to my two dogs for approximately five years. I originally found it for my eight year old boxer who suffers from pancreatitis. The best way to control Boomer's (my boxer's) painful outbursts is to limit the amount of fat intake and by-products in his diet. Since Natural Balance has no additive products, what you read on the front of the package flavor-wise is all you are going to get. Another nice thing about this food is that you can feed it to puppies and adults alike. My second dog, a five year old mini doxie has eaten this food her whole life. It is nice not having to buy two different kinds of foods to feed two different style diets. I mix the flavor variety around occasionally, and that is it! I started serving this food to my Boxer over five years after spending three years trying food after food for him that just were't working. I also get complements all the time on how soft & great looking their coats are. They both just look really healthy.In comparison to other "high quality" foods out there that vet's all seem to recommed, you will find this brand much more reasonable and get a much better bang for your buck!! Unless your dog has some sort of health issue which requires a prescription type dog food, you really don't need to let your vet guilt you into spending a ton more money for the brands of food they represent in their clinics then you already have to pay for the vet visit as well.I used to buy Natural Balance from the expensive pet botiques, but since I found it here online, able to ship to my porch in two days, I will never run out and have to do the mad scramble to get to the pet store because I forgot to go the day before and we are out of food at home! I couldn't be more satisfied!!! Thank you Amazon for the wide array of products that you carry! You sure help make life a little essier on a working mother of four kids, two dogs, two cats, and oh yeah, my husband too!

The top box is how the dog food arrived today. Thankfully the dog food had not spilled out of its actual bag. Looks like the dog food bag was scraped along the ground before being placed in this thin box. The box itself is not very sturdy. My bulk toilet paper in the box below it is much sturdier. Highly recommend better quality shipping boxes be used for dog food. Have ordered this before and it never arrived in this terrible condition.

My pup was having so many ear infections his Vet suggested we change him to a low allergen diet. The vet automatically wrote a RX for Hills Science Diet, which is NOT AFFORDABLE. I changed his food to Natural Balance LIMITED INGREDIENT, as well his treats and Dental Chews. Since starting this Product we are Ear Infection Free for 6 months. This is a great product my dog loves.

I don't normally write reviews unless I really like something, and I have no idea how this stuff tastes.. butOur lab showed sensitivity to a lot of proteins and it took us a number of foods before we found one that seemed to work (a different highly rated fish-based food). Protein issues aside, she seemed to be in very good health and we thought the food was great. In the meantime, she had some other health issues. Frequent mucus build up in the corner of her eyes, sensitive skin, and she would spit up a small amount of water once or twice a day (a couple of tablespoons usually). She would much less often, spit up a lot more water. It was always just water though, not food, and not more than one time quickly, not like vomiting. This later issue got us taking her to see the vet. They concluded it was likely stomach acid-related and recommended we give her a little food extra before bed and maybe an antacid. This seemed to lessen the occurrence, but it never fully went away.Now just after turning 2, we went on a vacation she couldn't go on and left her with a relative. Just before leaving we were unable to get her normal food and were forced to find an alternative to get her through the vacation (the food from this review). It was also fished based and we wanted to see if adding grain back in might change anything for the positive. Getting back from the trip, the relative reported very few water regurgitation issues. We thought she was being nice so we didn't feel bad. Shortly after we were able to get her old food back and mixed the two to transition her back to it. Her water issue seemed to be more common again. We hadn't been back long though, so we didn't think anything of it. This time though, she seemed to have the issue almost any time she got up from lying down. Putting 2 and 2 together I concluded maybe the food was the issue. After stopping all other treats and switching to 100% the new food, the water issues went away.now a few months later she is back to getting her normal treats and is just eating the new food. I can't recall the last time she spit up water, I want to say it hasn't happened at all. In addition, her eye mucus issue is gone. She gets some on occasion, but at a level I would consider normal for any dog. I wish we had thought of this before now, it would have been great. needless to say, this is the food we use now and I couldn't imagine ever changing it. Her energy and attitude are unchanged and she is doing great.

Have been feeding our dog Natural Balance for years. She has sensitive stomach and is allergic to chicken so we have stuck with lamb and salmon flavors. Decided to give beef a try and it niw may beher favorite. We like the limited ingredients in these formulations

The dogs love it. We have one dog that is allergic to most things and she can eat this.

I am very happy with the Natural Balance dog food, our Doberman has allergies to chicken so it makes it hard to find a good food without all the chicken and other additives that are not needed. Buying at amazon with prime shipping free, I save money and receive my food within two days to my door. This would be very helpful for people that are not able to get out a lot.

Item describes 14 pound bag. It is not! It is only 12 pounds. Where are the other 2 pounds? Also, it is "small bites" not normal sized bites.

I like that there aren’t a million ingredients. My dog likes it.

I never noticed that this was a small 10 pound bag.DO NOT BUY.Go to your local store and buy the big bag for the same price.
