Fish and being different
Fish Don't Sneeze by Kirstie Watson, Nina KhalovaVery colorful children’s book about fish. Sneezy felt very alone the other fish had things to do, places to go and they didn't include him as their friends.Because he is different the others just don't understand.Tiny has a plan to help him make friends. They tried many different things to no avail. They find a very good solution to the problem...Thanks for the author and they request a review. Ends with dedication page.

Really don’t like the message
Ok. It’s a cute book with cute pictures. The authors other book “The Witch’s Cat” is one of our favorites- but this one. Umm NO. If ur teaching ur kids about safety you definitely don’t want to read a book where a lonely fish makes a friend that constantly tells him things to do ESP when there not safe- LIKE when he directs him to go inside a “Scary most dangerous Place by himself” in the sea. That’s just Dumb! So while I appreciate what the story was trying to say I feel the message reeeeaaalllly got lost. So just be forewarned it might not be what ur expecting. I found it less funny and more bizarre with a bad messaging and so did my 6 year old.

Loved it
A nice story to help kids understand that there is nothing wrong with being you. Ah, and it has lovely illustrations too…

The problem with a bad case of sneezing.
First let me say that the colorful illustrations are brilliant! While they could not tell the story completely on their own they certainly add incredible and important elements to the story. As to the story itself: I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a tale of a lonely little fish that all the other fish avoid. Why? Because he sneezes a LOT! While I can understand that other fish would not enjoy being literally blown away by the force of a sneeze, I can also see that it isn't Sneezy's fault. He cannot do anything to stop it, and believe me he tried! His story is akin to that of someone with persistent hiccups. He may try everything anyone suggests, but the hiccups are in no hurry to leave. Same thing happening here with Sneezy and his sneezes. Nothing he does helps. The point of the story is to be happy with who you are - even when you are different than others. True friends won't care: they will stand by you through thick and thin. Yes, friends may be few and far between, but that is on those who won't be your friend. And the fact of the matter is that this is the same for all of us: true friends are hard to find when times get tough.I read the comment saying this story is a terrible message to give children. Why? Because Sneezy's friend suggests that he go into a scary shipwreck alone - a shipwreck inhabited by those who would eat him. I hadn't noticed that when I read the story so I went back to check. The story DOES say that. Would I recommend it to children even with that suggestion? Yes. Let me explain. This story is written as if Sneezy's friend is also his peer. I got the impression they were young (a.k.a. children). The friend is suggesting everything he's ever heard as a remedy (although the solutions are usually associated with hiccups rather than sneezing). Isn't that what we do as adults? Be honest. Sneezy's friend probably hasn't even considered the possibility that he might be eaten. As a child he is merely suggesting what he knows others have tried. If you pay attention, you will notice that Sneezy never enters the shipwreck. In fact, he must not even get close enough to be in danger because none of the scary critters in the wreck leave it to chase him. I don't think they ever even knew he was there. Not only that, but his friend was right there with him at the wreck. Even when I read this part of the story I was not the least bit afraid, and if you point out those things I just noted about Sneezy not getting too close, I would venture to say that children wouldn't be afraid either.Bottom line: children will enjoy this unless you decide to use it to scare them.

Basically a Cure for Hiccups Book But Using Sneezing Instead
There's plenty of picture books covering old wives tales about how to get rid of hiccups. That's pretty much the scenario here, except the issue is sneezing. A lonely fish who is socially shunned because it sneezes all the time is approached by another fish who tells it, that it knows how to make the sneezing go away. Does the other fish have good intentions? Does it actually know how to cure sneezing? Or is it all a cruel game? How will "Sneezy" react when he finds out?Fish Don't Sneeze has been formatted to be read in portrait mode (holding your device vertically), where it takes up the entire screen like a physical picture book open to one page. Words and pictures display together on the screen like a traditional picture book open to two pages. A lot of self published Kindle authors can't be bothered to format their work and it displays like a mess with bits of text on one page and an image on a small part of the screen on another, so I always like to take the time to point out when authors care about their reader's experience and their own work enough to take the time to format it.

children's
A particular fish had an unusual problem. He sneezed all the time. The other fish nicknamed him Sneezy. No one wanted to be his friend.Tiny (fish) gave Sneezy several ideas.I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (love), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.Thank you for the free author; Telltale Tots Ltd.; FreeBooksy; Amazon Digital Services LLC. 1...2...3...it's brilliant!
One of the things my children enjoy most about a story is when there are bits to join in with - and they love this! Add in the beautiful messages about accepting yourself, plus the sumptuous illustrations, and it's a real winner. Highly recommended for little story lovers!

Very funny and engaging.
If you're looking for a great story and a big laugh then this is the one to get!!Just got my book today and we read this for our bedtime story. Both of my boys (5-8) and my one year old absolutely loved this. They were in fits of laughter at the 'A-A-A-A CHOOOO' parts of the story as they tried to join in with different voices each time. My little one was also having a right giggle. . Very cleverly written and engaging.

I want to be friends with Sneezy and Tiny
This is a story that every child needs to hear (and see). Sneezy and Tiny are both little heros who teach friendship and acceptance (oh, and counting to 10) in the funniest and most heartwarming way. The illustrations are so beautiful, cute and colourful. I just love this story. I wish it had existed 30 odd years ago when I needed it.

Fun but sneezy
See sneezing is annoying for everyone at least he has cool effects when he sneezes. A very fun book more about friendship and fun than anything else, beautifully illustrated with hand drawn pictures (rare these days). A worthwhile read.

Very enjoyable
Another fun story from Kirstie Watson. My 4 year old loves the Witch's Cat and the Cooking Catastrophe (so much so that I have bought it in Kindle and paperback version for her) and she has asked me to read this story a few times to her now. We have fun counting along with Sneezy and seeing what him and Tiny get up to.
