Cold, great tasting water!
I've been a serious cyclist for over 20 years. I've always bought the insulated plastic bottles because I do enjoy somewhat cold water on my rides. Those were just as bad as uninsulated bottles plus you always got that plastic taste. Now I have spent hundreds of dollars shaving weight off of this bike only to add it right back on with a $40 bottle lol. But it's worth it, I love the taste of the water, the spout works perfectly. I was worried about how the water would come out but I like it better than the old squeeze in the bottle making all that noise stuff. Yeah the sticker that comes on it with the glue they use is ridiculous but the bottle is going to get scratched up within weeks anyway. I highly recommend it if you want great tasting cold water on your rides. That's really the only reason to buy it, other than that it's heavy and four times as much as a regular bottle.

Works great
No leaks. Worked great. Doesn’t rattle in my bottle cage. Cold liquids stay cold a long time. I really love it. Water comes out at a fast rate. Fast enough for me to drink and pour on face. For those that say the straw leaves some water behind, it’s true but I find that if you suck a tiny bit with your mouth you can get most of the rest of the water out and it really does come out without squeezing. I never feel like I need to squeeze it or miss the squeezing of plastic bottles. I’m very happy to get away from plastic bottles. This bottle seems very high quality. I’m not racing or going for some kind of record. This keeps things cold for my ride and I can ride for a long time. If I refill from the store I am sure it’ll stay cold. Love it. Easy to clean. Doesn’t keep old taste from old liquids. Keeps a great taste. Not crazy heavy. Just 80 grams heavier with water than my 30oz plastic non insulated bottle. I will make the concession to get away from plastic and not buy a bottle for a long time to come.

When a cold drink is important
This bottle keeps my water cold for most of a day, long enough for any reasonable bike ride. It fits my bottle cages just fine.Just one caution--because the bottle cannot be squeezed like a plastic bottle, the contents will pour out if the bottle is inverted below horizontal. A lesson you'll learn the first time it happens.Worth the weight penalty when a cold drink matters most.

How Did I Ride Without This Bottle?
This bottle is like night and day to the plastic "double insulated" ones (CamelBak too) that I've been using for years. It can get pretty hot during the summer months and my old bottle, filled with just ice, melted completely about an hour into a ride in the 90s. My rides are usually 2.5+ hours. The water got warm fast after it melted too. I finally decided to upgrade my bottles and got the stainless steel and wow what a difference. This past year, even though on the mild side compared to prior Summers, the hot days were easier to tolerate as both bottles kept the water cold through all my rides. The primary bottle I filled half with ice and the secondary filled 2/3rd with ice since I get to it later. I usually finish off the secondary bottle a few minutes before I end my ride and the water was cold still. When it was in the 80s, there was still ice bits in the bottle too. Amazing and not sure how I got along this long without a good stainless steel bottle. If you're on the fence about updating your bottle, jump over and get one or two of these based on your needs. You won't regret it. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is more aesthetics of the bottle. Pulling the bottle in and out of the bottle holder does leave scuff marks and the blue one got chipped a little too. So, doesn't affect performance and just a visual thing but that's a little important to me. I'd give 4.5 if I could.

Keeps it cold!
I've been using the plastic version of this water bottle for years. It's great but water doesn't stay cool. This bottle is very well designed and works well. The hardest thing for me to get used to is not being able to squeeze it. You have to lean your head back for the straw to work. But it does work well. I included a picture of how much water is left behind with the straw, it's not much, about a sip. Certainly not enough to not consider using this bottle. I bought the 22oz bottle and for my rides of 10-20 miles it's perfect and the water stays cold for the whole ride. For rides longer than 20 miles i use a 2 bottle system and fill this bottle with ice and water and then use the plastic bottle as my main. Having this as a backup and full of ice cold water after the main is gone is reinvigorating and refreshing on those long rides.Like all stainless bottles this bottle won't taste funky(like a plastic bottle) if you don't use all the water but i still empty mine after each use. If you have been using plastic bottles and enjoy cold water on your rides this bottle is an easy switch and should last a long time.

Ice Does Not Melt
I am an avid cyclist and bike for over 3 hours in very hot temps during the summer. This Camelbak stainless steel insulated water bottle really keeps my water cold. The ice does not even melt! It is easy to clean and fits the bottle carriers on my bike. Upon receipt, I thought the blue piece was a straw but it actually is needed to bring air into the bottle so the water comes out when you tip the bottle. I have quite a few of the polypropylene insulated bottles and even though they keep the water somewhat cold, it's not as cold as this stainless bottle. Not squeezing the bottle was strange at first but not for long. The only thing that ticked me off was upon removing the paper band from around the bottle, a thin line of glue used to attach the band did not come off. I have tried everything but gave up. I did not want to ruin the finish. But the bottle is works very well.

Keeps water ice cold but it's heavy.
Best water bottle I've had so far keeps water ice cold but if weight is a issue don't buy cause it is heavy. It's perfect for electric bikes where weight is no issue.
