WeruvaCats in The Kitchen, Chicken Frick 'A Zee Wet Cat Food, 10oz Can (Pack of 12)

My cat isn't too picky when it comes to food. I've been feeding him Tiki Cat wet food since switching him from dry food to wet. Sometimes the Tiki Cat can get a little expensive, so I wanted to give Weruva a try. He loves it! I like that the flavors aren't all seafood or all poultry--there's a mix of different meats and flavors for him. This will definitely be a repurchase for me. One thing to note: the food is a bit jelly-like. When you open the can, it looks almost jiggly and jammy. But I always water down his food anyways for extra hydration, so he doesn't seem to mind it.

Firstly, the quality of this food is top-notch. I have two very picky eaters that love it. The chicken is well-shredded and moist. I can typically get two meals for them both out of one can. No gross smell, either.

Note: dated December 6, 2015: My kitty's appetite has returned after over 2 months of dealing with UTI treatment, 2 heat episodes, etc & for a few days already in full force. She CLEANS her plate with this, with I & Love & You & Tiki Salmon & Chicken & even cleaned her plate this morning with Platefulls Chicken & Salmon--the morsels from the pouches almost NEVER get 100% eaten! I am totally getting relieved & happy as she was getting too skinny & I was getting worried. Her pee pee has gone back to normal & you can depend on a good pee pee from this product. Less dependable for a good pee pee is I & Love & You, but this is a terrific source of needed moisture--for those who are leaving behind the extremely unhealthy dry cat food & have had urinary tract issues with your cat. (You also get a heaping portion of turkey/chicken of course!) She licked clean her plate with the Tiki Salmon & Chicken with the same results. This can is slightly larger: 3.2 oz, therefore slightly more moisture & nourishment. My kitty loves both this Turkey & Chicken mix & since this can is 3.2 oz, it is among the more generous cans & therefore your kitty gets lots of extra nourishment & badly needed moisture.This is a simple recipe of thinly cat-friendly shredded chicken/turkey in a broth that holds together with some minor gum filler but never carrageenan. It gives nourishment & needed moisture to your cat's diet. It smells great, my kitty ate it & it can be put back into the frig in a covered container for later & the aroma of the fresh chicken/turkey remains the same. It is quality meat & again my only complaint is not using enough dark meat which is more indicated for cats. Dark meat adds flavor, it adds moisture & some added fat. This food does not say "for all life stages" which is an important characteristic to look for in quality cat food. That is one tiny point, but it is simple, decent, fresh & adds moisture. On the plus side, there are fewer carbs than in other foods & carbs are not necessary good for cats. There are always +'s & -'s in just about every food, however.NO GRAIN, NO GMO, NO STARCH (STARCHES ARE BAD FOR CATS) & NO CARRAGEENAN! AND without the toxic supplement Menadione Sodium Bisulfite (source of Vitamin K)--(The Material Safety Data sheet on Menadione-sodium bisulfite states: “The substance is toxic.")Chicken Broth, Chicken*, Turkey, Locust Bean Gum, Sunflower Seed Oil, Guar Gum, Fish Oil, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Vitamin E Supplement, Zinc Sulfate, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Nicotinic Acid (Vitamin B3), Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Potassium Iodide, Manganese Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Vitamin D3, Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement (Vitamin B2), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, (Vitamin B6), Copper Sulfate, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12 Supplement*A combination of boneless, skinless, white breast and other cuts of chickenEdit: 11/25/15 It appears my kitty prefers (although it is too soon to tell for sure) chicken/turkey (Fowl Ball) rather than the Chicken Frick A Zee. My kitty leaves less in her plate with Fowl Ball than with the Chicken Frick A Zee. I have to wait for some time to pass to see which one she really prefers, but it seems to be this one! I believe this mix will be continued--it is lean & I, therefore can afford to alternate with some richer foods. This food is made in Thailand, but I heard they are quite strict with their quality procedures for cat/dog food.

I chose the Wuvera brand as my kitten’s wet food based on a recommendation of an acquaintance. I like that it is starch and carrageenan free, with minimal preservatives.My kitten enjoys all 4 varieties with equal passion, and I’ve yet to notice a significant difference in any digestive issues when switching across the four flavors. (Although, She’s also consistently eaten a high grade dry kitten food since adopted her 6 week ago, which may contribute to good digestion).There are a few reasons I gave this product 4 stars vs. five. It would more-so be a 4.5 rating if that was a choice.Firstly, the Salmon food contains large chunks of fish (see photos). Please be certain to diligently break apart these chunks, & assure there are no bones, which can cause intestinal damage in kittens.Personally ? I elected to remove these pieces when my kitten first came home at 10 weeks. I now assure they are broken up and well mixed with the remainder of the food.Aside from my above reservations, the Salmon food ultimately became my girl's favorite. I ordered a 10 oz pack of 6 cans of the Salmon food after going through the 3.2 oz. cans in an increasingly rapid rate over the two months I’ve had her.I noticed she eagerly ate it when the can was first opened. However, she would shy away from it by the third serving from the same can.Although I seal and store all of her wet food in the fridge with air tight with BPA cling wrap? I think the minimal preservatives possibly impacted her desire for the “leftovers”, as kittens have sensitive stomachs. I’ve returned to the 3.2 oz. until she is older.Lastly; this most likely part of a recent, regularly occurring issue with Amazon, but I was shipped the regular “Cats in the Kitchen” multi-pack, despite ordering the “Cats in the Kitchen; Kitties Gone Wild” multi-pack.My local pet store is inconsistent with their inventory of the brand & variety. As such? I really rely on Amazon as a Prime member to get orders correct. I tried to feed my kitten the cat version. I looked identical to me, but I’m not a cat. I find it frustrating that I pay for Prime service when it recently feels less than Prime. Message being? Check the labeling carefully before opening. The appearance of the cat version cans initially looked identical to the kitten variety.I would overall strongly recommend this kitten food. I hope this review is helpful to other Amazon shoppers!

I have senior kitts, 15 and 14, and it's the first time in their lives I've seen one of them go as far as to jump into the trash can to try to retrieve an empty can. The food certainly doesn't smell nice to me, but the ingredients are stunning, and like I said, legitimate infatuation with this food ensues immediately upon introduction. I have one cat that eats everything, and one that doesn't and they both monch this up.Try it, and gimme a high-five if your bubba likes it.

My cat loves the taste, it came in well condition. However the seller keeps bringing the price up so I don’t think i can purchase again which is a shame :(

It has a really strange texture, with the jelly and minced meat combined.

The food quality is amazing. Received it on time. It is on pricier side but the quality is just too good. This is best wet food i have seen and I have tried alot on amazon. Will surely buy it next time. Sorry to seller there was a confusion with the customer agent and he refunded the wrong order. I sincerely apologize for that, I will call them and get it fixed(ordered other food and that guy just gave 1 can instead of 12, asked refund for that but he gave me refund for this)

It’s the best cat food I’ve ever seen and it even smells yummy! Wish though the delivery is faster and the price is less or at least bigger size for the price.
