The “Firbon A4 Paper Cutter 12 Inch Titanium Paper Trimmer Scrapbooking Tool with Automatic Security Safeguard” seems to be as well built as it needs to be for its intended job. It is lightweight but the plastic does not feel flimsy or cheap. It is smooth to the touch with not jagged edges or sharp burs.I like the compact size as I will not need it very often and it does not take up much space during storage between uses.I purchased it mainly for trimming photographs on glossy 80 pound photo paper and it worked well leaving clean cuts with no torn edges. I will rarely need it for anything over a 5” x 7” but it is nice to know I can work with an 8” x 10” with no problem and have room for adjustments. I found the guidelines for straight and angled cuts useful and their white on black contrast easy to see.My only complaint is that a little guesswork is needed during use because the manufacture didn’t include a cut-line for where the blade will go exactly. The notches on the blade handle get you close but they are not exact and that can cause problems when trimming photos printed with a border as it sometimes causes me to trim less than I wanted leaving a thin but noticeable white line.Overall I am happy with my purchase and I would recommend this trimmer.

I bought this to cut regular letter size printer paper in half for use in my A5 size Carpe Diem 6 hole planner. While I wish it was a little longer on the non blade side for easier measuring in order to cut letter size paper in half (8.5 x 11 inch) it worked perfectly. I just used a half sheet of paper and made light pencil marks for the cut line then was easily able to cut 5 sheets at a time. It's not a heavy duty cutter or anything but it's affordable and did the trick. I can't wait to make more of my own printables and use this cutter to get them ready for use! I ordered this just a few days ago and didn't expect it to come so fast, it was here literally just a few days after ordering!

Works really good and the blade slides easily and is really sharp. The coolest thing about this is that you can align your paper, out the plastic piece down and that holds the paper in place and you can stil slide the blade up and down without cutting the paper to get it in just the right area you want to cut because to expose the blade you actually have to press down and it come down to the paper. This is also a really good safety feature. I’ve been using it to cut cardstock paper for a project and use it a lot and haven’t had to replace blades and is sharp and working like it’s brand new.

I'm a teacher and I do tones of cutting. This little gadget is exactly what every teacher needs to prep materials. The board material does not seem to be the best. I have use some others before that seem to be sturdier. I have had this for a few months and it is still holding up just fine. You can cut up to 12 pages at a time.

This was exactly what I needed. Had been borrowing one from my Son-in-law from his office, but it was heavy and bulky and I felt guilty for always asking to borrow it. Finally found this on Amazon.com and could not be happier ;-).... what a great product, not available in any Stationary or Business Products Store in my area. Compact, light and does the job well. I had a guillotine type previously, and I was afraid this won’t be as good but it’s probably better and safer.The manufacturer could make the user’s job so much easier though, if they would show the cut-line on the plastic that holds the paper down! Then I wouldn’t have to guess where will the cut be exactly.

I need something to do cut up some CD inserts for our new album. This item was inexpensive and I had moderate expectations. In fact, I assumed the blade would dull after cuts so I purchased extra blades. To my pleasant surprise, the item is terrific, I have cut nearly 200 inserts and have not had to change the blade. It is going strong. I would buy this product again and recommend it to people who do not need a commercial unit.

My wife needed to cut some pictures out that we printed and this did the trick. My dad has one that he paid $50 for and we could get this one quicker than borrowing the one my dad has. Luckily for us, it did arrive faster AND it actually cuts just as well. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I bought this A4 Paper Cutter a few months ago to cut paper and cardstock (up to 300gsm) and so far it has performed beautifully. The cutter has no natural weight to it however so far it has no problem cutting anything I have given it to cut. Even with multiple sheets of card, where it is necessary to make more than one pass with the cutter, I have had no issues with unwanted movement or dull edge cutting.The paper is held at 90 degrees through a combination of the raised sides and the plastic cutter ruler which cleverly holds the card/paper in place, once lowered into the cutting position. I've used the cutter for several hours of accumulated cutting and so far there are no signs of degradation. Ich habe mir diesen Papierschneider angelegt, weil ich im Moment im Referendariat bin und immer für die Vorbereitung der Unterrichtsbesuche am Schneiden bin, was auch sehr viel Zeit in Anspruch nimmt. Normalerweise haben wir in der Schule einen riesen Papierschneider,wofür ich bisher immer länger in der Schule blieb. Jetzt aber, seit dem ich mir diesen Schneider zugelegt habe, spare ich an Zeit und kann gemütlich mit Musik im Hintergrund entspannt meine Materialien schneiden. Es entstehen dabei sehr saubere Schnitte. Es braucht auch nicht zu viel Platz auf dem Schreibtisch. Auch laminierte Blätter sind immer gerade und sauber geschnitten. Einfach klasse! Würde ich jedem Refi und Lehramtsanwärter emlfehlen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist klasse. Einen Stern habe ich abgezogen, weil auf meinem Brett, einer der schwarzen Linien nicht mehr da waren, also irgendwie schon verwischt sind. Aber das habe ich mit einem Folienstift nachgezeichnet.

I ordered this Paper Cutter A4 12 Inch Paper Trimmer with Automatic Security Safeguard Guillotiner for Coupon, Craft Paper, Label and Photo (White) as am not very good at cutting straight lines and have decided to make some home-made Christmas cards this year so want to ensure they look good.It arrived in a presentation packet with clear instructions printed on the back.It is a good size for cutting up to A4 paper and easy to store away when not in use.It is very easy to use and gives straight lines effortlessly.It also has a safety function on it so the cutter will only work if pressed down.To use you simply lift up ruler and insert paper, then slide and press down to cut.Overall it works very well to give me straight lines every time so can now make some impressive Christmas cards.
