Ecoslay Jello Shot, Extra Firm Hold Gel, Super Thick, Aloe and Okra formula, 8oz

The day the picture used here was taken I had a customer of the store where I work ask if she could take a picture of the back and sides of my hair to show her hair stylist. The picture was taken on the 3rd day after a shampoo with using 2 Ecoslay products, Jello Shot and Orange Marmalade. This combination helped soften the curl cast. When I used Jello Shot alone there was great hold and curl definition but the crunch was difficult to scrunch out. However, together Orange Marmalade and Jello Shot gave me the best of both worlds… definition, great hold AND crunch that could be softened. These 2 products are my new obsession for creating great curls.

My hair loves this stuff. It has an amazing scent and people smell my hair because of it sometimes haha. My curls look amazing when I️ use just a dollop and it keeps my curls pretty soft. I️ use this to eliminate frizz and some volume and it works wonders for me. The ingredients are a plus as well and I️ feel like my curls really soak up the product.

i was very excited to try this gel and i’m happy i got my hands on it. you get a lottt of product in it. it is so good at clumping curls and when i dry my hair under the hooded dryer after applying, my curls do get super crunchy and def has a gel cast, which i like. pero be careful w what position you dry your hair in. the gel will lock your style into place for sure which is a big pro. the ingredients are very clean and great. the smell is like a literal shot, strawberry alcohol, pero as soon as it dries the smell completely goes away, just in case you’re not a big fan of fragrances or are afraid it will clash w your other products. now the other thing is that this gel for some reason does not mix well with a lot of other products, sadly the ones i own 😩 two of them being the knot today leave in by kinky curly, and curl love by camille rose. if anything it does mix well with the shea moisture honey and yogurt mousse and coconut shea curl defining cream by eden bodyworks (i highlyyy recommend that cream)it’s going to be annoying finding products that will work w this, pero i guess it’s trial and error bla bla whatever. i’m looking forward to how it holds up in heat and humidity, as i live in miami. update- it holds up well in heat and humidity. so far i like it and can’t complain, not 100% sure i will repurchase due to the big price and i’m sure there are gels with similar ingredients that are far cheaper. i give it a 4/5 (:

First off. It’s tiny!! Breat if you have short hair or loose curls. But ig you have longer kinky hair you’re gonna go through at least half the pouch. I used it with a mousse to make the product stretch. The hold was good but for the price, it wasn’t worth it for me. I wish it was still 16oz like I’ve see some others post.

Saw the reviews and decided to try it as ECO Styler is no longer an option for me. I have very coily type 4C hair and no gel has ever made my coils pop like this product does. My curls are defined, the definition last for days, looks juicy/well hydrated, no frizz, and NO Flaking. It’s smells good and clean. Not too overbearing with a heavy perfume scent which I prefer. This is my second time using this product and I am very happy with the results. It’s the perfect gel for my Wash ‘n’ Go’s. It is a bit pricey in my opinion but a little goes a long way and I was able to layer with other products. Just make sure you test the products together before applying to your hair to ensure the products are compatible with the Jello Shot. Based on the pics I attached I used Hawaiian Silk Miracle Worker 14-in-1, the Jello Shot, and TGIN Honey Whip Hydrating Mousse and it worked beautifully together 👌🏾. Sat under a dryer for 30mins and voila the perfect Wash ‘n’ Go that lasts a whole week with no need refresh in between. I would definitely recommend.

Don't buy, you will waste your money. My saliva has more hold.

This is the only gel that I have found since I embraced my curl journey that eliminates frizz & defines. Thank you Ecoslay!

It did not enhance curls as it claimed it would. Moisture level is very low, no sheen to it. It actually dries hair out.
