My 12 year old Grandson loves this book!! I got him a new 3D pen and this was the perfect accessory! He is already making the items in the book! He was so excited!

Probably not for a 5 year old. He burned his finger on the tip of the pin.

The book was as expected but we were missing the transparent film that goes over the book. Inevitably because this piece was missing my daughter did ruin 2 of the pages out of the book before I realized we were missing something. I had an acrylic board that I allowed her to use instead of sending it back because she wanted to use it so badly.

I bought the 3D pen for my daughter last year and we were watching YouTube videos to get ideas. This book has perfect patterns to help your child learn how to use the 3D pen and make creations they can be proud of. Fun, entertaining and silly.

This pen does heat up pretty good so it needs to be used in the presence of an adult. It is not just a simple toy. It is hard to load the filament. You must get it precise or it won't go through the pen. You push a forward button to make the filament advance and then a stop button for it to stop, but it dosent stop right then. You must color in the entire space you are working on or your "masterpiece " will fall apart. You need tweezers to hold parts together or get an adult to help you with putting the pieces together with the clear filament. I got this for my 10 year old grandson and he got aggravated quickly with it.I made a helicopter and it definitely didn't look fly worthy. I would recommend this for a 14-15 year old artsy person or even an adult who enjoys artistic things. I feel like this will eventually end up in the garbage and I spent way to much money on it and accessories for it. It does come with a type C cord. You will need the electrical plug to go on it.
